Beginning at level 83, players can choose one of four elements to align themselves with by talking to an Elementalist NPC in each village in Taxn. The elements are Water, Fire, Spirit and Steel.

Having an elemental affinity will make you strong against one elemental affinity while making you weak against another. Anyone with an affinity, though, is strong against those without one.

Each affinity can be leveled up to Level 5. To level up your affinity, you will need one skill point and the following amount of elemental energy:

Level 1 - 2,140

Level 2 - 2,260

Level 3 - 2,390

Level 4 - 2,530

Level 5 - 2,680

Elemental energy is dropped by monsters and may also be mined at certain places in the Underworld.

Once you gain an affinity, a mark will glow around where your guild icon is.
