Press K to open the Skill Window. From here you can view and manage all of your skills, including skills learned from core machines you insert in your equipment.
Learning Skills
Double-click on a skill to learn it. If the skill is able to be leveled up, double-click it to increase its level. Learning skills and leveling skills up will cost Skill Points (SP) and Training Points (TP).
Training Points are acquired whenever you use skills, gain a level, or train (see below). Skill Points are only acquired when you gain a level (1 per level).
The Shortcut Bar
The easiest way to make use of your skills is via the shortcut bar in the lower right of your screen. To add a skill to the shortcut bar, find it in the Skill Window and then, by holding down the left-click, drag its icon to the shortcut bar. Once a skill is on the shortcut bar, you can activate it by right-clicking on the icon or by pressing the corresponding number key on your keyboard.
By clicking on the Expand button on the bar, you can also display a secondary row of shortcuts, which are activated by holding Shift and pressing the corresponding number. You can also click the up and down arrows or hold Shift and use the scroll wheel to move between bars, in case you need another assortment of shortcuts.
* Tip: The shortcut bar is not just for skills! You can also open your Inventory and drag items and equipment there. This can be helpful if you need to change weapons or use potions frequently.
Training Mode
Outside of most towns, you will find a trainer. If you choose to train with them, you will enter a special, regimented training session, during which you will acquire 300 TP every 5 minutes. While in this mode, you cannot perform any actions, but you are able to buy or sell using your personal store.
(Visit Item Management for more information on your personal store.)
* Tip: If your guild chooses to spend Guild Points (GP) to initiate a guild workout, all guild members will acquire even more TP from training, while the guild workout is in progress. Have one of your guild's officers or the guild master talk to a trainer to sign up for a guild workout!
