Hi all,

From my previous post, I had said that Maintenance will occur every Wednesday starting 9/9

Only the 9/9 Maintenance will be particularly longer than usual as it will be from 7 AM - 1 PM PST. Every Wednesday Maintenance after that will be the usual times of 7 AM - 11 AM PST.

There's a lot of stuff going into the 9/9 Maintenance regarding both the Portal and Neo Steam that I will detail here.

1. During the 7 AM - 1 PM PST on 9/9, the Marketplace will be completely down. This means that no purchases can go through until it's brought up again at 1 PM PST. We're implementing a brand new Marketplace that will prepare for more international players. For N. America players, the functions will stay the same but the look and feel will be slightly different.

2. Neo Steam servers will also be down during this time, however, you can still come to the Forums and stay updated on our progress.

3. You will still be able to be log into the portal as well, but there may be a visual discrepancy regarding your Crown amounts. This will only be during the Maintenance window time.

4. IN ADDITION: Crowns are defined as Atlus Online's universal currency. This means that whenever you buy a package of Crowns, you can use it on Neo Steam and any other game that we'll be bringing in the near future. It can also be used on content that we'll be bringing in as well.

Currently, in Neo Steam, it's shown as Crowns in the Item Shop, but after 9/9 Maintenance, it will now be called "Gears."

Here's an example of what I can do with a package of Crowns after 9/9:

Let's say I bought a $10 package of Crowns so that = 7,000 Crowns.

I log into Neo Steam and open up the Item Shop. Instead of 7,000 Crowns, it will now say 7,000 Gears.

I use 700 Gears on a particular item so now I have 6,300 Gears left or also 6,300 Crowns left.

I log into Future Game #2, and open up the Item Shop. It will say I have 6,300 Oranges (or whatever the currency for that game will be called) So then I can purchase whatever I want in Future Game #2 and it will just detract from my overall Crown balance. I would be able to do this for any game, and or content.

Later, I will have particular Neo Steam updates pertaining to bug fixes and new items that I will update this post with. For now, if you have questions regarding the extended maintenance on 9/9, please post here

We'd just like to tell you that we've received the logs from Rope Isle from the developers and have levied the Experience Point rollbacks on those players that spent time grinding in the area. For the most part however, please be advised that after we told the players not to go back to Rope Isle, they didn't, and the amount of abusers was not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. That being said, in the interest of fairness and justice for all those that support legitimate gameplay, we have rolled back all of the Experience Points that each of the players earned while in Rope Isle. We will NOT be banning any players as they followed our instructions to never return. We wish all of our players safe, and pleasant journeys in the land of Chrysalis.

Atlus Online will be at Anime Expo next week, July 2-5, at the Los Angeles Convention Center!



Visit the Atlus booth, #1001 in the South Hall, and get goodies like Neo Steam t-shirts, posters, cellphone accessories, and stickers! Meet members of the Atlus Online mod team (aka the Breakfast Crew) and check out additional titles from Atlus including Trauma Team, Demon’s Souls, and more.

PLUS… are you ready for this…? A SECOND pair of handmade steampunk goggles will be on display at the Atlus Online section. We haven’t decided what the contest will be YET, but you’ll be able to drool over another unique pair of goggles made especially for Neo Steam! And yes, another Neo Steam member will be able to win this pair!

If you haven't gotten your permanent Jackpack yet, now's the time to do so before it leaves the Premium Item Shop! It's only available until June 30th as it's a limited time only item. When maintenance comes around on Tuesday, it'll be gone so get it n-o-w!

There will be a new item in the Neo Steam Premium Item Shop after maintenance today. (Servers will come back up at 11 AM PST)

Introducing....

RACE CHANGE SCROLL

Try out other races to your heart's content with the Race Change Scroll! All passive skills unique to each race will also be inherited at time of change.

When you receive your scroll, go to your nation's respective Castle-

Rogwel: Look for the NPC named Identity Modifier located at 30095, 05917 near the save point in the center of the town



Elerd: Look for the NPC named Identity Modifier located at 29023, 31061 near the northern middle.



You can change your race as many times as you want but you will need a Race Change Scroll for each time. The scroll is set at 3,500 Crowns and you can purchase them at the Marketplace or in-game!

*transform yourself!* ;)

You will be logged out of the game automatically after selecting your race of choice. Log back in and you will be transformed! Please note that hair style/face selection will correspond to your original race's equivalent.

We hope everyone's been having a blast during Open Beta of Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent! Servers will be brought down TODAY June 8th at 3 PM Chrysalis Mean Time so they can be prepped for *gasp* Launch!


Dates/Time of Launch will be announced soon so stay tuned!

Today at 3:00pm PST, the Neo Steam servers will be brought down for preparation for the Open Beta service beginning tomorrow 5/27/09 at 9:30am PST. The servers will be inaccessible for that period of time until the servers are brought back up. We thank everyone for their participation in the Closed Beta service and look forward to seeing all of our registered members in the Open Beta!

NOTE: As stated before, all Closed Beta characters will be wiped as we enter the Open Beta period.
