The Republic of Rogwel
The Realm of Science
Neo Steam

Rogwel was modeled on the principles of the old world, with a reliance on science and technology. However, unlike civilization from centuries earlier, it was founded with a strong focus on environmental responsibility and harmony. Its strong manufacturing and commerce industries helped it rise to prominence as one of the two most powerful nations in the new world. The republic's engineering tradition is reflected in all of the major cities on the continent.

Greticos, the capital of Rogwel, is a sprawling metropolis, with its trade and production centers situated at the heart of the city. The castle is an impressive work of architecture, and it was constructed to pay tribute to the Maestros. Greticos is also home to the Council Chambers. The Low Council oversees domestic affairs, while the High Council deals with all matters affecting the nation and its interests abroad. The councils are led by Chancellor Akto Barans, the highest authority in the republic. Elder Maestro Portis also lives in Greticos and is frequently consulted in matters related to science and education.

Garnedine is a bustling trade city, the financial center of the republic. It is also a hub for transportation and houses more zeppelins than any other port in the entire world. They say that every month, a new factory opens in Garnedine, and at the forefront of it all is Maestro Airun, who ensures that the city's machinery is always running and that air traffic is conducted as smoothly and as safely as possible.

Diren is the youngest of Rogwel's major cities, constructed shortly after the nation became a republic. It was an experiment in modern civil engineering and was intended to demonstrate how nature and modern buildings could be incorporated into each other as seamlessly and efficiently as possible. Much of the city is suspended over the sea, and it has become Rogwel's most important seaport. Maestro Kenwa is constantly on the lookout for ways to decrease the town's pollution levels and maximize production.

Nonetheless, Rogwel's way of life comes at a high cost. Despite the Maestros' efforts to make efficient machinery and lower Neo Steam consumption rates, enormous amounts of the resource must be harvested from Energy Stones abroad on a daily basis.
