It was agreed long ago that the nations of Rogwel and Elerd would each inhabit opposing territories of Rope Isle. However, control of the central region of the island was never decided upon, and it is here that some of the largest and richest lodes of Energy Stones left in the world can be found.

The Crom, who helped draft the treaty (for a price, of course), were appointed to serve as arbitrators over the status of this hotly contested region. From the shadows, they supplied both nations with arms and profited from the war for crystals.

Today, the battle rages on as giant siege engines lurch across the landscapes of Rope Isle, as the leaders of both nations have conceded that no treaty can contain this bloody feud.
